Definitive proof of the global warming theory: epic December snowstorm

Ha! Looks like we will have a white Christmas! Mary loves diving into the snow banks, as you can see. I may have to find my old ski pants, I think they are at my parents' house, and wear them on such occasions.

More 'Glam-a-licious salon photos

Dancing while her manicure is drying...

The Glam Lounge

Future stars of Twilight series

See the last photo for the latest in thanksgiving vampire chic!
Took M to a funky kid oriented hair salon. Kitschy, just my style! She loved it and got a complimentary mini manicure too,
Dancing with her cousin on thanksgiving day. Note the reusable hair extension, courtesy of the bibbity boutique. It fell out after just one dance. I didn't secure it nearly as well as the Fairy Godmother did.

Note the crazy red eyes of the pre schoolers, all except for my girl. I am so glad I told her to wear shorts under her dress. You can see why, as she chose to lift up the dress, during one of the Thanksgiving theme songs. Not sure why, and the shorts don't match, but at least they covered up the tights.

Epcot eats

Mary, on a pretend, or practice 'heritage' tour of China.
Dessert at the Royal Hall in Norway, a special birthday cupcake for Mary.
And the tasting plate dessert, no decisions necessary!

Snow White wears really red lipstick, as you can see on mini-me's cheek.

More food for the Royals

The Bisque, as presented at the Yachtsman Steakhouse.
A somewhat un-princess like smirk, aka her 'Popeye' wink.

Special desert brought for our birthday girl!
This time it's not the red velvet sofa at the White Swan, but the striped damask sofa at the Royal Castle's Bibbity Bobbity Boutique.

More food and fun, disney style

My luncheon entree at Cindy's Castle. Salmon, Asian slaw and Jasmine rice.
Except for the princess photo 'ops' that kept interrupting my lunch, it was leisurely and enjoyable. LOL. I think the average time span between princesses
presenting themselves to our princess was 5.327 minutes.

The photos above are in the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, pre princess-ization.

In case anyone is interested in shopping for official disney parks merchandise online, see

On the magical express bus trip from the hotel back to the airport, the on board video left us with one final merchandising push, to the tune of, "... in case you forgot to pick up a souvenir, or couldn't fit all the things you wanted to buy in your suitcase, you can shop the site above. It doesn't have every item in the stores of course, but there were a lot of sale items, at least on thanksgiv. weekend.

Just returned from the Money Pit, aka Disney World

A certain four year old proclaimed that she wanted to stay in Disney World a million more days!

To which I said, "You better get a job!" I think we could have traveled to Europe and seen some of the actual, full size landmarks, instead of the pseudo Epcot versions, for the $$$ expended.

The mini St. Mark's Square just doesn't cut it for me, Disney doesn't have enough magic to pull that off.

Anyway, we had a great time, 2 princess meals, a lunch and a dinner, a chef Mickey experience,

a yachtsmen steakhouse culinary treat, a morrocan meal and an american 'dining' experience at the whispering canyon cafe, kind of a 'hoot n holler' venue.
The hotel, the Wilderness Lodge had ambience to spare! I did notice that the vacation club (time share) reps were not at all busy, and that attendence was way down in the various disney parks. There were almost no lines. we didn't need to use the fastpass at all.

took 100s of photos, we were packing 2 digi cams and a digi video cam.

Mary 'meets' Norman Rockwell at the mall.

The usually fearless Mary was inexplicably terrified of the 3D versions of the Rockwell magazine cover paintings.

Cool exhibit anyway, and then , on to Coldstone for pre lunch ice cream!
The last photo is an example of unsupervised lipstick application. Kind of a punk zombie princess look. a Betsey Johnson revival period.

Mary's Daddy sure knows how to work a church raffle

Rock star, or at least she keeps announcing that she IS a rock star... oh boy, are we in for it!

On All Souls Day, there was a raffle etc being held in the church hall, after mass, etc.

B. purchased may tickets and weighted them heavily on the items that a certain 4 year old might like.

The take:

1 girl's bike and bike helmet (she can prob use the bike in a few years, as it's a bit big for her now)

1 el grande cotton candy pink teddy bear, embroidered with the words 'My First Bear'. This is relevant because her main ' I never leave home without him' stuffed friend is also a pink 'My
First Bear'.

1 Hannah Montana sleeping bag and flashlite set.

(Note: I had just gotten her a H.M. guitar , from Goodwill store, for $2.37. See photo. So, it is, it appears, theme week at our house.

More Halloween fun!

Just pictures, as I am going to start project 'don't overpack' for our not too far off trip to diz world.

Gotta be easier than packing for China, unless, of course, you are me! It's the shoes that get me every time. Gotta have choices!
