The big install of the big girl bed (sort of)...

I ordered a very hip, very contempory twin bed frame for M, the Little Miss Matched Sketch o Rama bed. It's white, and one can write on the head and footboard surfaces with a dry erase marker (sounds like trouble). But, after searching everywhere online and in stores , I found this bed, with the right contempo style I had been looking for.

The bed arrived on wednesday, in many cartons, and we didn't open them until Saturday. Well, the side rails had major cracks midway that were probably due to being damaged in shipping. You could have cracked the board in half with little pressure. And there were other dents, gouges etc on the head and footboard. Small ones, but the paint finish was damaged in those spots. And on the edge of one of the die cut circles another gouge and marring of the coated finish.

So, 3 phone calls later, we are waiting for the deliv co. to pick up the whole set and then they will send a replacement.

Tonight, just to get the mattress out of the hallway, I moved the toddler bed out of her room,

and pushed the mattress in put on fitted sheet and flopped it on the floor. Mary loved it, and

maybe because she was tired (no nap), there was no anxiety or transition problem. we will see when the bed frame arrives adn is assembled.
