I have used this lyric of David Byrne's before , but it is so often appropriate, since I always photograph food that has been 'plated' in style. And I also take photos of cool restaurants, exterior, and the bathroom if it is exceptionally well appointed.

Mother's Day weekend, aka 'the Eat-a Thon' !

I totally have to hit the treadmill or something today.

We went out to dinner Friday, sort of an advance celebration of our anniversary and Mother's Day. Dinner chez nous on Saturday, london broil, teryaki shrimp and shrimp and scallops marinated in a chardonnay garlic sauce. Yes, I sauteed food, and no kitchen fire! Smoke alarm didn't even go off...

Kept it low key today, avoiding the Mother's Day restaurant hysteria.

Fashion Fun all week long...

We got a trunk full of dress up clothes, courtesy of cousins K & M, via Grammy, and Mary didn't need any encouragement to go all diva girl a few days ago!

Yes, the disney shorts are on backwards, logo should be on the derriere..., yes, the living room is a train wreck of toys, neatniks we are NOT, and that is regis and kelly in miami, on the big screen tv. And the refrigerator has become my backdrop stand for hurried photo shoots such as this.

Food shopping in style

Ok, so I am late as usual in posting this for the 'Challenge'. It's probably not even Friday somewhere anymore...

Food shopping with Mary is much more challenging now! If the kid sized shopping cart or the car cart is unavailable, we have had a couple of mini crying tantrums (and that was just me : ).

But sometimes we get through it without attracting negative attention!

Then I saw that the Salsa twins were also caught food shopping, in very spectacular style.

*Any shopping trip has become a tantrum waiting to happen, lately, here at our 3.5 year old franchise of "Meltdowns r Us" ! : ) Got through this one unscathed, happily!
