Year of the Dragon 2012. Event at the Phila art museum, dancers, different than last year, more contemporary ballet than traditional Chinese New Year parade dance. Under some duress, Mary agreed to wear her pink embroidered dress.

A Chinese proverb tells us to "lift up the heart of a true friend by writing his name on the wings of a dragon." Long Nian Kuai Le! Happy Dragon Year!

We survived Irene

I took this through the center of a hip squeegee, in Marshalls. Child was in midst of having a mini meltdown, or as they say down south, a come apart!

She got over it in about a half hour, back to normal.

between 11:00 p.m. and midnight, we had tornado warnings. I had our bike helmets accessible, and took Mary downstairs. Bruce said he was going to sleep (tired after working all day). Nerves of steel, he has! Nothing happened, no power outages or big tree crashdowns, thankfully!
