Just returned from the Money Pit, aka Disney World

A certain four year old proclaimed that she wanted to stay in Disney World a million more days!

To which I said, "You better get a job!" I think we could have traveled to Europe and seen some of the actual, full size landmarks, instead of the pseudo Epcot versions, for the $$$ expended.

The mini St. Mark's Square just doesn't cut it for me, Disney doesn't have enough magic to pull that off.

Anyway, we had a great time, 2 princess meals, a lunch and a dinner, a chef Mickey experience,

a yachtsmen steakhouse culinary treat, a morrocan meal and an american 'dining' experience at the whispering canyon cafe, kind of a 'hoot n holler' venue.
The hotel, the Wilderness Lodge had ambience to spare! I did notice that the vacation club (time share) reps were not at all busy, and that attendence was way down in the various disney parks. There were almost no lines. we didn't need to use the fastpass at all.

took 100s of photos, we were packing 2 digi cams and a digi video cam.

Mary 'meets' Norman Rockwell at the mall.

The usually fearless Mary was inexplicably terrified of the 3D versions of the Rockwell magazine cover paintings.

Cool exhibit anyway, and then , on to Coldstone for pre lunch ice cream!
The last photo is an example of unsupervised lipstick application. Kind of a punk zombie princess look. a Betsey Johnson revival period.

Mary's Daddy sure knows how to work a church raffle

Rock star, or at least she keeps announcing that she IS a rock star... oh boy, are we in for it!

On All Souls Day, there was a raffle etc being held in the church hall, after mass, etc.

B. purchased may tickets and weighted them heavily on the items that a certain 4 year old might like.

The take:

1 girl's bike and bike helmet (she can prob use the bike in a few years, as it's a bit big for her now)

1 el grande cotton candy pink teddy bear, embroidered with the words 'My First Bear'. This is relevant because her main ' I never leave home without him' stuffed friend is also a pink 'My
First Bear'.

1 Hannah Montana sleeping bag and flashlite set.

(Note: I had just gotten her a H.M. guitar , from Goodwill store, for $2.37. See photo. So, it is, it appears, theme week at our house.

More Halloween fun!

Just pictures, as I am going to start project 'don't overpack' for our not too far off trip to diz world.

Gotta be easier than packing for China, unless, of course, you are me! It's the shoes that get me every time. Gotta have choices!

Success!

We finally got the swine flu vaccine for 'Stephanie', pictured above in a test run of her Halloween costume! I went towards the end of the time window for a county health dept event, and only waited an hour, start to finish.

More Halloween spirit

We tried, unsuccessfully , to get a swine flu shot at a 'clinic' set up by the county. The line was insane. People lined up at 7 a.m. for the 10 a.m. start time. It was cold and damp, the little Hello Kitty princess was cold, and I knew she could not last 3 hours in line, without a bathroom break too. Ok, yes, I am talking about myself as well! So, we left, went to a local food store and had donuts and a photo shoot. She was all about posing!

Tomorrow, we put on our Stephanie of Lazytown costume and rock the Halloween circuit in 2 counties!

Disney store Halloween 'Parade'

And already, although it's not even Halloween yet, Bloomingdale's has a Christmas merchandise
display in position in the 'foyer'!

It was very disorganized, but good practice in doing the 'royal wave'!

Check out the book I wrote, produced and directed.

Pumpkin Time, once again

I managed to find the fall/Halloween decorations, as Mary suggested or demanded a few days ago, we need to put some Halloween decorations in front of the house, like the other houses! Whoops, guess I get a 'needs improvement' in the school spirit department!

On another note, Mary can spell pizza, Disney and Macy's. Needs a bit of prompting on the first 2, but Macy's she can spell with no problem whatsoever (it's just one letter different than her name, she pointed out).

Also, in Macy's today, she was re-arranging the Hello Kitty merchandise so that all the like shirts were on the same 'T' bar of the display. Same for the HK skirts, pants etc. Kind of a math exercise I guess, sorting,,, that's my little Virgo, always organizing! Now if she can just do that with her little pet shop stuff...
