Mary’s Daddy made these pancakes, and Mary ate them, or at least she ate the icing, and a few bites of pancake. She only eats scrambled eggs, so the hardboiled version got a big yuk!

late afternoon cloud drama at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. They had rides for the kids, lots of craft vendors and lots of fattening food. The sculpture in the photos is part of the outdoor stations of the cross .

I really like the expressions of Mary here. Had to post the photos, even though I have more chins than a Chinese phone book in the second picture. I was holding the camera at arm’s length and taking our photo, while waiting for our dinners to be served.

 

(note: we specialize in politically incorrect humor here, at princess, inc.). The ‘chin’ joke was one I heard from Joan Rivers doing stand up, years and years ago.

The presentation and plating at Shark’s , Ocean City, Maryland

this was our trendy, upscale restaurant choice for this trip. I have to dine at least once in a place with tablecloths or cloth napkins and some design sense.  Shark was it this trip.

Burger ‘sliders’ for Mary  Seaweed salad for me,  yum.

Cajun shark appetizer for Bruce, was too spicy for him.

  Gnocci, in a creamy light tomato sauce, with a very thick piece of shark on top. Exquisite flavors.
